Hot tapping is a service that allows you to make needed repairs or modifications to existing piping process systems without shutting down the system, meaning no service disruptions or customer inconvenience.
Hot taps can be performed on many different types of systems such as steel, stainless steel and cast iron. Systems containing wastewater, drinking water, steam, oil, gas and even sour gas can be safely modified without costly downtime.
Hot tap drilling operations from 1/2” through 6”. Operating temperatures: Maximum 500 degrees F @ 700 psig (standard service packaging) Maximum 700 degrees F @ 700 psig (severe service packaging) Operating pressure: Maximum 1480 psig @100 degrees F.
